Red Feather Development Group
"Red Feather Development Group partners with American Indian nations to develop and implement sustainable solutions to the housing needs within their communities. We envision a world where safe housing is available to all and people are inspired to work collectively to create self-sustaining communities."
Involved with the Red Feather Development Group since 2005, Insulation Solutions' first project was the Hopi Nation's first straw bale home on the reservation for Mary Tenakhongva. Our under slab insulation, Insul-Tarp was laid for the radiant floor heating in the Arizona home. Red Feather hosted an open house in Hotevilla where Hopi tribal members gathered until late evening to see Mary's beautiful, affordable straw bale home. The project was completed April 29th, 2005.
In 2011, ISI was involved in Northern Cheyenne Red Feather project where Insul-Tarp and Quip Clips were used on two homes, identical in size. We are currently involved in another Red Feather project that began in late 2012.
Solid Rock Therapeutic Riding Center
Solid Rock Therapeutic Riding Center (TRC) is a non-profit organization that provides activites for children and adults with physical and mental disabilities in effort to help them build trust, confidence and courage as well as form bonds with the rescued horses.
Summer 2012, Insulation Solutions donated 13,000 square feet of Insul-Tarp to the facility, used as part of a radiant heat system beneath the floor.
